In Gaza, the water crisis has reached a critical level, with 97% of the water contaminated and unfit for human consumption. This alarming situation exposes the inhabitants to serious health risks, in a context where access to drinking water is a matter of survival.

In response to this emergency, Free Palestines has set up a water desalination plant in the Rafah governorate, becoming a vital source of drinking water for 60,000 people every day. Thanks to fuel provided by UNRWA, we have been able to reactivate this essential lifeline in one of Gaza’s most densely populated areas.

This sustainable water source is directly integrated into the local network, making water accessible to displaced people via tanker trucks that refuel on site, or allowing residents to fill their own tanks. This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to improving living conditions in Gaza, by ensuring a basic human need: access to drinking water.

Your support is essential to maintain this vital infrastructure. Together, let’s work to ensure that the people of Gaza have access to clean, safe water. Together, let’s help secure access to drinking water in Gaza, offering hope and dignity to families affected by the crisis.
